Valora, S.A. is the banknote printing company ant it is 100% owned by Banco de Portugal. It has been operating at the premises of Banco de Portugal in Carregado since 1999. Valora produces all the euro banknotes that are allocated by the Euro system to the Bank of Portugal, which has recently created an investment fund to finance social solidarity and NGO projects.
